Three talented young Khmer Chefs, Bora Srey, Pheak Tim and Bunchhou Chhon, all recently distinguished at the Gold Gourmet Awards in Bangkok, will hold a mouth-watering 5-course dinner at Templation Angkor Resort on November 23, 2019, from 6:30 pm.
While the menu remains a surprise -- we do know there will be some of Templation's new signatures dishes --, the purpose of this gourmet fundraiser is clear: through your participation and donations, actively support EGBOK Hospitality Training Center in Siem Reap.
"The money raised Nov 23 will allow EGBOK to get computers for its classrooms at discounted rate from HP Company, which generously sponsors the event in that way", explains Benoit Le Rioux, Templation Corporate Chef.
The community involvement will also be really hands-on, since four EGBOK students will join the chefs in the resort's kitchen, helping in the making of the dinner 'amuse-bouche'.
Since its launch in Siem Reap, here are some EGBOK facts and figures:
- Over 1,350 students have completed Phase 1 of the curriculum, "Introduction to Hospitality".
- 336 students have graduated from Phase 2, "Training & Internship Program".
- 168 hospitality companies have employed EGBOK alumni, including some of the top hotels, restaurants, and spas around Cambodia, such as Le Méridien, Park Hyatt, Aman Resorts, Sofitel, and Raffles.
- 4 interns are currently in apprenticeship at Templation Angkor Resort.
