Elephants are in danger. Poaching, deforestation, cruel treatment for mercantile purposes...Under the hig patronage of King Sihamoni of Cambodia, Airavata Foundation in the Ratanakiri rain forest strives for the preservation of these majestic animals, and the enhancement of cultural traditions where elephants and humans interact in mutual respect.

The April 27, Phnom Penh fundraising event will host performances of Bokator (Khmer traditional martial arts) and an auction of artwork by Cambodian artists with elephants as a source of inspiration.

A concert will pay tribute to singer Channthy Kak's memory by her friends of "The Cambodian Space Project". Channthy tragically passed away in Phnom Penh last month.
