It's happening on La Pergola Restaurant verandah, at Plantation urban resort & spa. Inventive Phnom Penh chefs Amy Baard, Olivier Guillon, Jorge Chen, Tim Bruyns and a surprise fifth partner in cuisine traded notes, ideas and visions with the top designers from local brands Lee&Taylor, Kong, Good Krama, Don Protasio and Jungle&Jardin for a five course dinner paired with not only wines but also five fashion shows.
Example? One fashion creator wanted to play around grey, ashen hues for his presentation. The chef’s answer? Blackened pork tenderloin, pork belly confit croquette, charcoal-smoked mashed potatoes, black garlic purée, earthy sautéed mushrooms, Szechuan jus. But the dessert was a symphony of vivid colors, as well as the models strutting by the tables.
